We would never watch wrestling, but we did watch and enjoy Glow season 2. Do we have notes? Of course! Recommended this episode: Hollow Knight The Try Guys The Gateway
We watched a Japanese reality TV show, and it was exactly the soothing balm our souls needed this week. The worst person there is an entitled teenager, and there is a sweet romance straight out of our angsty anime dreams. PLEASE watch this show and come tell us all your feelings about it! Things we… Continue reading Rachel and Becky Judge Things Episode 16: Terrace House: Opening New Doors
Harold, they’re lesbians! We watched Carol, to find out if it’s good for more than hilarious tumblr memes and gifs of women looking at each other while a man talks. Bonus: we also discussed Ocean’s 8 in a mostly non-spoilery way. (We forgot to talk about Rooney Mara’s bangs, but I HAVE OPINIONS! -R)
We watched a documentary that made us say the word “bonkers” about a thousand times, learned who we’d like to be our murderous little old grandma, and discussed why Rachel would make a great cult leader. This is a wild, wild country, man. Tough titties.
Is Harlots a sex-positive story that centers the struggles of women, or is it a hot bowl of ahistorical nonsense? We’re here to find out.
We went way outside our comfort zone this week to watch men hurt each other for no apparent reason: we watched Creed! Becky’s under the weather, Rachel is nursing some grudges, and the upstairs neighbors are learning to clog dance. But we finally have a new microphone!
Half of this episode is us discussing Pacific Rim, giant robots we have known and loved, and our own personal kaiju: the podcast pod cats fighting under the bed. Then somehow nearly half of this episode is Rachel trying to describe various McElroy media to Becky. The whole thing gets PRETTY silly. There was no way… Continue reading Rachel and Becky Judge Things Episode 11: Pacific Rim
After Love, Simon we were still in the mood for some happy queer media, so we decided to give Netflix’s Queer Eye a try. You might not think we need a Queer Eye revival in 2018, but you’d be wrong.
Finally, some gay media that made us cry in a good way. Our hearts are full after watching Love, Simon in a theater full of applauding #teens and a movie with family, friends, and teachers who might actually exist in the real world. Did we enjoy the movie? Spoiler: we LOVED it.
Will Rachel ever be free of the curse of watching things about superheroes? We watched Hulu’s Marvel’s Runaways and discussed yet more conspiracy logistics, sexy murders, and cool teen outfits.
